Those of you who know me well will know that Fleishman is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Akner is my favorite adult book of all time. It’s like the Jenga tower of novels: remove one element of the plot and the rest of the pieces would come tumbling down. In my opinion it’s that intricately constructed.
Taffy Brodesser-Akner’s new novel comes out on July 9 of this year (happy birthday to ME!) and has already earned a bunch of buzz and several accolades. I cannot wait to get my hands on it (yes, I pre-ordered). Even though I loved the Hulu/FX adaptation of the book as well (Taffy was the show runner and writer), I will not be jumping ahead to the LIC series buzz yet.
Keep up with me as we get ready for the book’s release. Taffy Tuesday? Fleishman Friday? Nah, let’s compromise and bring on the news as it happens.

A great American Jewish novel whose brew of hilarity, heartbreak, and smarts recalls the best of Philip Roth. A triumph.
